“I found out about WISE Bus when requested to be a female Engineer role model on it, while working as Graduate Trainee at Rolls Royce Industrial Power Group in Newcastle.

I also went on a WISE Insight Course in 1989. My A Level Physics teacher at school told me about it after she read about it in a WISE leaflet. The INSIGHT course directly led me to studying Mechanical Engineering and getting sponsored by Rolls Royce IPG. I later went on to become a Chartered Engineer with IMechE (and more recently, Fellow of IMechE)!

My most memorable moment was the tour around the Reyrolle Ltd factory visit. I was later sponsored by them at University”
