Dads who take parental leave can help boost women's pay

As reported in WVON just over a week ago, 85 per cent of men in Sweden take parental leave. That is a staggering proportion but even more interesting is the effect it has had on women's pay. 

According to an article today in Gender Across Borders, a recent study has found that a mother's future earnings increase on average by 7 per cent for every month that the father takes leave. 

And that's not all. Another study has shown that the experience of taking "baby leave" has had an impact on how Swedish men view their own masculinity.
