Influencing policy

The UKRC works to influence government policy and the policies of influential agencies in order to build gender equality in SET. We also work with employers and others to bring about organisational policy change.

• top level government support and leadership for change in gender equality
• the removal of gender stereotyping from SET learning and employment
• an increase in the numbers of women and girls studying SET subjects and going in to SET employment
• building the workforce through capitalising on the talents of SET trained and qualified women

The UKRC works in partnership with many organisations and individuals to campaign for improvements in gender equality policy and legislation and to build gender equality in SET. We consult on key issues across our networks and with the members of GetSET Women.
