British Gas Open Day
British Gas/Centrica National Apprentice Week Open Day on 9th February 2012
British Gas is a leading energy company – part of the Centrica group, one of the Top 30 companies in the FTSE100. We focus entirely on energy and related services and activities which offer exciting opportunities across a wide range of career paths throughout the UK. As part of National Apprentice week 2012, British Gas is running an Open Day at their Offices at Swan House, Staines. The Open Day is designed to give you more information on the type of roles that we have within Centrica and British Gas and an understanding of how to apply when these roles are available.
At the Open Day you will be given a presentation on the career paths available to you, meet some IS Apprentices and Smart Metering Engineers and also have the chance to question experts from within the company.
Places are limited and by invite only, so if you are interested and would like to spend a couple of hours with us, please email the following details, Name, Email address, Contact number and how you heard about the event to: Diversity.Team@britishgas.co.uk and quote NAW OPEN DAY in the subject of the e-mail and you will be contacted with further details. We need this information by Tuesday 24th January 2012 and we will then confirm by 27th January if you have been allocated a place.
The Open day will be held on Thursday 9th February 2012 and the timings are:
- Session 1 Arrival at 9.45 am for 10 am start
- Session 2 Arrival at 12.45 pm for 1 pm start
- Session 3 Arrival at 2.45 pm for 3 pm start
Additional Information
We are looking for 30 people to attend each session.
The Open day will include a presentation, site tour, practical exercise and open question and answer sessions where people can gain more information on specific roles.
There is very limited parking on site.
All invited attendees will need to report to reception at Swan House in the first instance.

Driving
Leave the M25 at J13 and follow the signs for the A308, Windsor. Follow the road running parallel to the motorway, curving round to the left. At the roundabout take the 5th exit (coming back on yourself), signposted A308, Staines.
Train
