Governance

In 2012 the UKRC is forming a Community Interest Company - the UKRC CIC - to take forward a refreshed stakeholder investment model to sustain and develop the work of WISE and the UKRC.

The Founding Board of the UKRC CIC is made up of the following Directors who form the founding members of the company:

  • Trudy Norris-Grey –  Chair of UKRC and WISE (former Chair of the UKRC Governing Body) 
  • Alun Griffiths – Chair of the UKRC Industry Board – Group HR Director WS Atkins PLC
  • Gillian Arnold – Independent IT sector specialist – Director, Tectre
  • Annette Williams - Founding Director, formerly Director of the UKRC
  • Jane Butcher - UKRC Interim Director – Ex- Officio
  • Alastair Brown - UKRC Finance and Operations Manager – Ex- Officio
  • John Buckley – Bradford College Clerk to the Corporation
  • Ronan O’Beirne  - Director Learning Development and Research, Bradford College
  • Nasreen Karim – Partner Platinum  Partnership and member of Bradford College Corporation

The UKRC Industry Board

Our Industry Board is a group of high profile managers from various SET sectors who have met since 2004 to advise the UKRC on all aspects of its work with employers, businesses and organisations.  The Industry Board continues to advise the UKRC as it develops the Community Interest Company.

Key stakeholders

The UKRC CIC has close links with a partnership group made up of a number of organisations who support its objectives, and have worked with the UKRC as founding partners in its government contract delivery. These include:

UKRC governance up to summer 2012

Until mid-2012 the UKRC is led by a partnership with Bradford College as the main partner and accountable body working with the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, the Open University, Sheffield Hallam University and Queen Mary University of  London. Core partners and delivery partners have representation on the UKRC Governing Body

The Governing Body oversees and reports on all current and emerging contracts delivered by the UKRC and advises on business development plans to support our future sustainability. It is chaired by Trudy Norris Grey.
